Because it is intuitively simple to use, our system can be operated by people with little or no training.
The novel and proprietary technology is based on spectrometric monitoring of phenotypic change that occurs in reactions between the sample and a panel of candidate antibiotics.
The cartridges are application specific, with the panel of antibiotics selected to be the most appropriate for a specific type of infection. They are closed tube and only allow the sample to be added, eliminating the risk of cross contamination and minimising hands-on time.
Spectromics is focusing its internal activities on technology development whilst engaging with partners who bring complementary expertise in instrument development/production and cartridge manufacture.
